Coaching and cardio tennis


Our friendly coaching team offer both individual and group coaching sessions for adults and juniors of all abilities. Individual coaching can be arranged for as few or as many sessions as you require.

The Club prides itself on having one of the most comprehensive junior coaching programmes in the area, catering for all ability levels aged 4 and above.

The club coach Claire Williamson also offers additional coaching camps during the school holidays. The Total Tennis Team deliver these sessions. Here is their latest flyer.

A range of cardio tennis sessions which combine tennis, music and cardio fitness are also available. It’s great exercise, fun and a good opportunity to meet other club members.

“After having major surgery on my right shoulder in March 2011, my surgeon told me not to play tennis again. I was devastated, but 16 months later my partner persuaded me to try playing left handed. It was difficult at first but I persevered and after a few lessons with coach Tom Sutherland it became a bit easier. In September 2012, I started to go to cardio tennis twice a week. I was nervous at first as I still had not mastered how to serve left handed. This was the best decision I could have made. I now feel comfortable playing left handed, I feel fitter and I have made new friends. it is a great way to keep fit, Claire and her team are dedicated and make each session enjoyable.” Tracy Thursby
